When it occurs especially during day time than it is termed as “DIURNAL ENURESIS”. And when it happens during night time than it is known as “NOCTURNAL ENURESIS”.

This problem is more commonly seen in boys rather compare to girls and the conventional medicines does not have much to offer in its treatment but homeopathy plays a significant role in the treatment of enuresis.

Normally, child learns to have a control over his/her bladder by the age of 3 years. But if it continues over this age than instead of scolding, punishing, & jesting, they require proper treatment with counseling.

TYPES

Primary Enuresis:

Child who have been never dry since born is termed as primary enuresis.

Secondary Enuresis :

Child who have been dry & than again start wetting bed is termed as secondary enuresis.

CAUSES

* Physical causes

* Psychological causes

It includes problems related with bladder i.e infection, change in position, defective digestion, worm infestation, skin disease & very rarely renal cause.

2) Psychological Causes:

Tardily developed brain, weak emotional foundation including anxiety, loss of security, fear, guilt, punishment, newer environment, sibling jealousy etc.

About 90% of cases of enuresis are having psychological cause. But before any conclusion it is must to rule out the physical cause by the physician.

TREATMENT WITH HOMEOPATHIC REMEDIES

As we are very well aware that homeopathic prescription is based on individuality and their specific constitution, it treats the patient as a whole not only the specific disorder.
Homeopathic remedies removes underlying cause and one can get rid of the trouble by the curative action of the remedy.
Some of the remedies which plays an vital role in curing enuresis according to their constitutional need are listed below:

ROLE OF COUNSELING:

Beside remedies counseling of child along with parents is equally important to cure a deep psychological foundation ENURESIS.
Sometimes even child needs only placebo remedy which make them feel that they are physically treated for the problem.
More over change in parents attitude is also required ie it has been seen that if child feels safe & secure in the home filled with love most personality disorder get sorted out on there own if at all they were to arise.

RULES TO BE FOLLOWED:

1) Make child void urine before going to bed.
2) Don’t make child guilty of his/her wetting by scolding or commenting infront of other.
3) Make his/her dairy which he will write the date tick for the dry & wet nights and at the end of 1 month give them a reward for his/her dry nights.
4) Make his/her change wet sheets.
5) In day time encourage to delay passing urine for as long as possible this will increase bladder tone.
6) Last but not least is, don’t loose your passion as it will nearly take 6 months to form this habit.
